Despite the poor turnout for the CounterStrike:Source tournament at Epic LAN #8, the event still managed to pull in top UK teams such as Fragmasters Toxic, Malik-eSports and Rasta.xD. With the lads being seeded 3rd, they were given a tough group that they made light work of, finishing the day with an outstanding 16-5 win over Fragmasters Toxic on de_season.

We then were given a simple route to the upper bracket final, with strong wins over GIANTS and Hyphen beating both 2-0 on maps. In the upper bracket final we faced rasta.xD, unfortunately losing 16-11 (de_train) and 16-12 (de_season). Dropping to the lower bracket, we faced Fragmasters Toxic again on de_dust2, and despite being close to a late comeback the lads were unable to replicate fridays form losing 16-12.

We would like to congratulate the guys on finishing 3rd and meeting their seed. Even though the lads probably would have liked to finish higher at Epic LAN #8, they represented VYE in a good manner and showed they are a top UK team.

Unfortunately, we are sad to announce that Chris "Bowzar" Bowey will be departing from the VYE CSS lineup, stay tuned for more information regarding the team!
