With the CSS team being crowned champions of EDCSSL, and comfortably top of their group in the UNGL Winter Pro League, VYE speaks to Mike 'Crazysmurf' Powell about the teams preparations and expectations for Epic LAN #8

Hey Crazysmurf, With just over 2 weeks till Epic LAN #8 how has preparation for this event been going?

So far so good, We have been playing every day except friday and saturday which is out of the norm for us as we normally have tuesdays off and its been paying off. Been praccing hard vs some top teams and playing officials to prepare for the event.

With VYE's success in EDCSSL and UNGL Winter Pro League so far, VYE's CEVO European campaign starts on the 8th Febuary, how far do you think VYE can progress?

With seeing how well we have done in other officials and leagues i think we can go all the way. When we do play on AC even when we play bad we some how manage to pull a win out the bag, There is a no lose attitude in officials and i think that is what makes us so good under pressure.

Having previous attended Epic LAN #5 and various iseries events, which one would you say you prefer?

I personally think the Epic lans tend to be better. The admins are happy to listen to the players and change the tournament on the lan weekend if the players want it and the lan is generally very good at compromising to make it better.

Even though the turnout for the Epic #8 CSS tournament is rather disapointing, still strong teams such as FM Toxic and Rasta.xD will be making an appearance. What are your thoughts about the turnout for Epic LAN #8?

The turnout turns out to be a little low for competitive teams but there seem to be a few mix teams going and hopefully we can hit the 12 team mark.

Finally, where do you feel VYE can finish at Epic LAN #8?

We feel we can finish in the top 2 if not win. We are constantly being underestimated by other teams and i think we can get to the final and give the team in the final a good game and even win. Top 3 at Epic is a toss up between VYE, FM TOXIC and Rasta xD but I think Rasta.xD will come 3rd and a VYE vs TOXIC final, with us hopefully winning.
