As the team has undergone a pretty exhaustive re-shuffle, I thought I'd (re) introduce the lineup, with the hope that we won't all be quite as alien and unapproachable as before :P
Rich (richzR) - Our team captain, eternally welsh and ginger. Is openly mocked on TS, but loves it. An exceptionally clever and resourceful player when he's in the mood, equally as good with the sniper as the rifle and has the awesome ability to turn a game around by himself.
Garry (gArry) - Easily our best rifle, recently voted the 8th best rifle in Europe and currently out with a broken hand because he (in his words) 'murdered a guy'. He's Eastern European which pretty much sums up everything you'd want to know about him. Fundamentally legendary in all regards, he's got a couple of killer movies too.
Andy (softeh) - Cool, calm and collected. Completely unflappable in all regards and usually ends up being the one who grounds the team when we're getting over-cocky or things are slipping out of hand. The ultimate DoD:S professional and definately the guy you want protecting that double-cap when things look their bleakest. Previous teams include the best team in the game, does much more need saying?
George (L m n g) - Previously voted the third best rifle in Europe, but returning from a spell of inactivity but you can certainly see his pedigree shine through at times. Guy is a complete monster whether using the rifle or scope. A little quiet from time to time and his girlfriend has an annoying habit of interrupting perfectly valid practice sessions, but other than that, all you could really want in a player.
Richard (rickaaa) - Played in EMS twice, been in two of the best UK teams to grace the scene and is probably the sexiest man alive. He's also the only DoD:S player who can hold a tune, also probably the only one to ever strip himself out of a white suit on stage in front of hundreds of people. In game he's the reliable engine of the team (when he's not away for three weeks doing God knows what) and more often than not is the gel between the other rifles— awesome guy.
Piotr (Piter) - I don't even know where to start. Amazing heavy, amazing guy, most experience of any player in the team and it shows in his incredibly self-assured play style. Can literally stroll out and crush teams without even looking up from his milkshake. He's appeared in the top ten heavies in Europe something like six times and has the best LAN pedigree of anyone in the team, finishing second at the biggest DoD:S LAN to date.
Nic (nbad) - This is me! And it's actually a little bit gutting coming to write me as I just realised that I've probably the least impressive CV of anyone on the team. Then again, placed 5th at the largest DoD:S LAN ever, so I guess that says something about the team. I find it a little hard to write about myself, so George did the talking for me.
"Paired perfectly with Piter on heavy, he does the talking where piter doesn't. Works ruthlessly hard for both the team and for himself in game, as well as out of game. Definately a rock in the team to help us build. Has a knack for dropping huge kill streaks when the time comes, which is why he's a brilliant heavy. If there was anything that wasn't true about this guy, it's his name."
And then there's Aaron (aKaaa) and despite the fact that he's got his own thread (show off) I thought I ought to write a little about him. Are you looking for a heavy? Does he need to be skilled, active, work selflessly with his team and always stick to his role? If you answered no to all of these things, take aKaaa. No seriously do, we don't want him ;D
I'm joking obviously. The guy is a complete legend, if completely inactive.
Anyway, that's the team, I realise we've not been entirely social in the org despite being here for months, but here's to hoping that can change a little.
