RCN sat down with the VYE.HALO side with quite a in-depth interview! Please read below to find out what it's about! With i43 just around the corner, As there first LAN as a team, the lads are really looking forward to it and looking for a top placement within the touranment. 

Hi everyone, would you like to introduce yourselves to the VYE community?
 

Eyobb Tesfa 

 Hello, my name is Eyobb Tesfa and is a 17 (almost 18) years old boy who lives in Stockholm. I'm currently on my way to go in my last year in high school where I am studying Economy.

Andreas Knutsson

My name is Andreas Knutsson and i´m 17 years old. I live in Karlskrona, Sweden where I also go to high school.

Yo! My name is Ville Riitakorpi. You can know me as Mersu. Im 16 years old and I live in Järvenpää, Finland.

Robin Lj

Hi everyone! My name is Robin Ljungentorp and im 18 years old. I live in South Sweden in a town between Malmö and Lund called Staffanstorp. Im currently on my last year in highschool where I study Hotel and Restaurant and I'm known as Cyclop in the Halo community.

What you guys been doing during the summer break? Looking forward to going back to college/school/work?
 

Eyobb Tesfa 

I have mostly just taking it easy, have had a tough year at school so just wanted to relax this summer. Otherwise than just chilling I've been partying, been out with friends, playing Halo (ofc) and experienced a little archipelago. It has been a pretty nice and calm summer for me.

Andreas Knutsson

Ive mostly been with friends. We play Fifa, hang at the beach and just chill. I´ve also been playing a lot of Halo Reach and watched football. My school actually started this friday but I was sick so I couldn´t attend.

Ville Riitakorpi 

I've been chilling around, meeting relatives, gaming and watching movies. And i went to London with my parents at the june's end. But mostly just relaxing. Im gonna go to "career start" to raise my grades and finding a school what interests me.

Robin Lj

I have been spending alot of time with my girlfriend but also friends. I have also been on little trips here and there. On of the trips was to Finland to Mersu where we pre LANed apeX! And ofc have been gaming with the team at the nights. School for me starts tomorrow, so its a bit depressing. Cus this summer vacation just flew by so fast :/ But its my last year now so its going to be great to get this shit over.

As the VYE.HALO team, how do you guys play and what is your favorite map?
 

Eyobb Tesfa 

My favorite map/gametype is Sanctuary TS cause my play style fits the team very good in that game type. In this game you don't have roles which you have in other games, but like my way off playing is a little bit more aggressive than the others. Cause my team tells me that i have the biggest ego in our team I am going to explain this to you all - I’m the best one in our team and the day Cyclop gives me the snipe we're gonna be TOP1 world leeeeeeeeggo. *hehe*

As Eyobb said; you don´t have any roles in this game. Everyone should be able to do anything at any given time to get the victory.

If you ask me we don’t really have any roles in my opinion, except that I at the start grabs the sniper. Other than that I’m very versatile player, but I in many cases tend to be the one to watch my teammates back and finishing off the one shots, also being the one who being the hard to kill guy. But if I’m in the position to do the objective I’ll ofc do it! Can’t really choose one map, so I have to take two! So it will be Element and Zealot.

Ville Riitakorpi 

I’m the playmaker in our halo team. I usually push with Teyobb (wedebest) and we run the OBJ. I do lots of work in every game  *heheheh* My favorite map / game type is Element Flag. Because its very fast paced and the map movement is good. And it fits in Halo Reach good. + Its an momentum map.

So iSeries is just around the corner, are you all prepared for it, how you guys are getting there? 
 

Eyobb Tesfa 

Have been having ha hard time online cause Dimbo is very sick atm so our practice schedule have been a little bit up and down so really hopes he gets well in time. Our journey to iSeries is a bit annoying, personally I'm going to travel with Sign (our coach) for 12 hours cause I have to travel with Mersu as well (his mom said that) and we'll be arriving in Telford station at 00:15 FML.

We've had some problems playing our full potential online because Dimbo being sick so that has been very frustrating. But here we go. I’m travelling alone to London-Stansted and from there i will travel with Sign & Eyobb.

Andreas Knutsson 

I've been very sick for a week now. High fever, throwing up and that stuff. So we haven’t been able to train as much as we would like to do this last week because I’ve had to rest a lot to try to get better. I´m taking the train from were I live to Kastrup and Robin will jump on the train on the way. From here we take the airplane to Gatwick and the train to Telford. I have to wake up 4:30 AM FML!

What Eyobb said, the only thing is scaring me is if Dimbo doesn’t get better we have to pick up another 4th for the event. But we got that sorted if it happens! Me and Dimbo are traveling at the 26th from Copenhagen to London Gatwick, then we going to take the train to Telford. And for the home journey is train to Gatwick then take a night flight home to Copenhagen and Dimbo have to sleep over at my place cus his train doesnt go back that late from me.

Who are you looking forward to facing, and where about’s would you like to finish in the tournament?

 Eyobb Tesfa   

I want to face Infused, RCG and Uprising cause that's the 'hotshots' for this tournament (and Dignitas ofc). But don't really have any grudge against any team though. I want to place Top2-3, of course I want first place but it feels like Dignitas is just on another level than any other team in Europe. Everyone is looking at us as a Top8 team but we're gonna prove everyone wrong.

Im looking forward to face infused/Dignitas. But I’m just gonna play my own game for the best of my team and see where it takes us. I want to win the event ofc. But I think our experience of LANs/events isn’t gonna take us to top1. But yea top2-3 finish is good.

I don’t really have anyone that I eagerly want to face, so Ill go in with the same mindset against everyone that we will face at the tournament! I will be pleased with a top 2-3 finish. Hope to prove the haters wrong this tournament!

What guys do you do for hobbies/interests other than play Halo?

Eyobb Tesfa 

Stopped with all of my Hobbies cause off halo, it ruined my life..... SYKE.  I might live in Sweden but ice hockey and all that jazz isn’t my thing. I play a lot of football and used to play handball, I've been free styling a lot with my cross but looks like my freestyle-time is over cause I'm losing the interest in that.

Andreas Knutsson 

Watching football is a big interest of mine. I support FC Barcelona and the Swedish team Halmstad BK who is currently last in the highest division in Sweden. I also hang out a lot with friends

I like watching movies, grilling some sausages  , jogging, watching football/ice hockey and hang out with my friends(cats) SYKE. *hehehe*

If I’m not playing Halo then I’m usually being with my girlfriend and hanging out with my friends, or I play some other games with my mates. Then we usually play Dota/HoN.
